Cardi/o® Radar Monitor Safety – White Paper

Cardi/o® Monitors – Engineered for Safety

When assessing a product’s radar/RF safety, comparison to other products commonly used in the same customer environment provide a good reference. As shown in figure 1 below, customer interaction with Cardi/o® RF monitors is Orders of Magnitude Lower in RF Emission than when using ordinary household devices such as cellphones, Wi-Fi, radios and TVs.

Cardi/o® state-of-the-art RF and analog engineering makes such safety possible over the entire range of operation, from 1 inch to 10 feet (3 meters). The RF field strength is lower than the ambient level of a typical home, measuring less than .0001 m/W/cm2 at 10 feet (3 meters). This is 1,000X lower than federal guidelines for RF-based consumer electronics.

Safety Throughout the Residence

As depicted in figure 2, Cardi/o® Monitor is safe and can be used in multiple rooms in the same dwelling without any per-room or overall RF safety concern – the RF noise generated by Cardi/o® Monitor is the same level of RF noise generated by common home routers, meeting FCC Safety specifications.
In addition to safety, Cardi/o® sensors are designed to prevent causing interference or being interfered by other RF devices in the same dwelling such as cellphones and TVs and meets FCC RF Interference specifications
