AUSTIN, Texas (Dec. xx, 2022) -Cardi/o® by Advanced TeleSensors https://cardio.io/, makers of a totally-touchless, non-wearable heart and respiratory rate sensing medical device, today announced that it placed first in a PitchForce https://pitch-force.com/ national Life-Science pitch competition.

Austin-based Advanced TeleSensors is a HIPAA-compliant, wireless, and contactless (nothing on the skin, no wearable, no watch) medical device. Originally developed at NASA, its programmable remote patient monitoring technology can reduce staffing demands and improve patient care, safety, and comfort. It can be used to track heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep quality, fall detection, wandering, and motion using workstations and IOS and Android apps.

The Company serves patients requiring supervised or acute care at skilled nursing, post-acute care, and rehab facilities and dialysis centers as well as home-bound patients who are largely bed-ridden or have limited mobility.

“Finding a better patient monitoring solution to reduce staffing demands and improve patient care and comfort has been a core focus for Advanced TeleSensors,” said Sajol Ghoshal, CEO of Advanced TeleSensors. “Placing first further validates our mission and value proposition. The feedback from the panel of physicians and investors sharpens our business strategy as we seek new markets and additional investments.”

“In placing first in the life sciences category, Advanced TeleSensors was selected as the most promising startup at our December 14 PitchForce event,” said Max Shapiro, PitchForce CEO. “Advanced TeleSensors was not only chosen by our investor panelists for its medical and business potential, but for how persuasively it presented its go-to-market strategy.”

Now in its 10th year, PitchForce has helped early-stage startups looking to raise between $.5M-$2M in their Angel and Seed Round or $2M-$10M in their A Round. Through its venue, presenting companies will receive comprehensive feedback from a panel of investors and receive training to hone in and perfect their elevator pitch and 4-minute pitch presentation.

About the Company: Advanced TeleSenors is a totally touchless heart rate and respiratory rate sensing, without wearing a wearable for everyday general wellness.  For more information visit cardio.io/
